Faceted Amethyst Oval Mixed Metal Silver Gold Braided Ring sz 10.5 OOAK

This stunning one-of-a-kind mixed metal ring is based on a handmade shank that I partially braided from 5 strands of Argentium sterling and 14k goldfill. The mixed shade amethyst is beautiful and I sealed the sterling underneath the setting to help protect the color contrast. This type of band is much harder to fabricate—adding texture and dimension that exceeds a typical flat band. The custom bezel is from .999 Fine Silver, made by me exactly for this stone and carefully soldered to the band. The tarnish-resistant Argentium (93.5% silver) that I used in the braids and the backplate will retain its shine with minimal upkeep.
