Lab Opal Argentium Sterling Silver Braided Ring Handmade Size 10 OOAK

This exquisite, one-of-a-kind handcrafted ring is centered around a multi-colored lab-created oval cabochon. The colors are a bit mesmerizing, so no ordinary setting would do. Instead, I brought some magic by braiding sterling silver to create the shank (band). The sterling silver back and fine silver bezel are all handcut and soldered by me. This design called for five solder operations and careful attention to detail, which has resulted in a bright silver, organic result. All the silver except the bezel are a high-end form of sterling called Argentium, which has a higher percentage of silver and resists tarnish.

The ring is size 10 and has nice substance to it. The lab opal is 10mm x 16mm, set securely in a bezel. The band is 10mm wide where it joins the top of the ring and tapers to 5mm at the narrowest point, which makes it quite comfortable to wear. To finish the ring, I sanded and polished by hand then tumbled for a bright, smooth finish. As with all my handcrafted jewelry, I will carefully package this ring in a gift box and padded mailer.
