Spiral Sterling Silver Stud Post Earrings Tarnish-Resistant Silver - Antiqued

Antiqued Spiral Studs: These detailed posts are a variation of the spiral posts I use for dangle earrings, in a compact form for those who prefer small earrings or use as an "extra hole" stud. The post and spiral are all made from one piece of .935 Argentium sterling silver wire, which I taper and solder to keep its shape. I hand sand each earring before tumbling with stainless steel shot for a few hours to smooth the surface and the post. After the earrings are polished, I apply a liver of sulfur antiquing solution and buff off the high spots to keep the darker contrast in the recesses.

For those of us who leave studs in all the time, I offer an option at no charge for a slightly shorter post—which makes it more comfortable to sleep with the studs in. Choose the variation when adding the earrings to your cart. Please allow up to 10 calendar days after payment for me to fabricate and ship your pair of spiral studs.

These petite earrings measure a bit over 1/4" across and fit quite flush to the ear. I leave my pair in all the time in my second set of holes as they are comfortable and do not catch on hair or clothing. To complete the studs, I use medium-weight sterling silver clutch backs (butterfly clutches), also antiqued. This listing is for ONE PAIR of the antiqued sterling silver studs.
