The chalice that forms the frame for this necklace is a glass I hand-shaped from sterling silver with an integrated bail. I lightly hammered and tumbled the glass to add strength, before wrapping using sterling silver wire a variety of smoky topaz bicone crystals and seed beads. The effect is of a shimmering glass of amber brew. The pendant is 1-1/2" from the top of the bail and is finished on a smooth sterling silver wheat chain. The chain is held with a strong lobster clasp.
